antique country extending dining table

Item Ref

A chunky antique pine and sycamore extending dining table, dating from Edwardian times.
Nearly square in shape, with substantial tapered sycamore legs, finished off with iron castors . (The castors could be removed and it would still keep the top at 29").
The original top is made from first grade yellow pine and has always been a scrubbed top. A double moulding around the edge prevents warping and adds to the chunky look .
A small cutlery drawers is found at one end.
The base of the table is painted in a neutral light grey and lightly distressed.
Benefiting from two original additional pine leaves , the table can be transformed from a good sized four seater to a 6 or 8 seater respectively.
The leaves are stored under the table and the two draw-leaves are in good working order.

64" by 36 1/4" fully extended
10 1/2" each leaf
