A very tidy medium size late Victorian / Edwardian 4 drawer pine ches , dating from the turn of the century, 1880 to1905, Art Nouveau period.
Plain, but well proportioned, a handy small size, an original set of metal cup pull handles and brass escutcheons, spacious intricately dove tailed drawers and minimal decorative detail mainly in the shape of the faux bracket feet and the little upstand at the back of the top.
Very good tightly grained pine, repainted in a fitting period blue, in this case, F & B Dix Blue.
No structural damage, the drawers are spotless inside, no worm, minimal wear.
The top has been hand stripped to show off the good quality of timber.
A very sound and usable chest of drawers, a clear example for that period of time.
