This is a lovely find, an antique shuttered mirror, found in original 'old' paint, weathered and worn.Made from hardwood and made to last with amazing iron hardware and catches.
Still in the original buttermilk / off-cream colour scheme, a kaleidoscope of earthy tones, the warm umber hardwood timber peeping through.
Astonishingly heavy and solid, useful and decorative, an original piece of architectural country furniture.
