Description

An early 19th century painted pine desk or dressing stand .
This pretty and quite dainty piece dates back to the Regency era, where it served most likely as a lady's desk or dressing room stand.
Underneath the cream paint, which is old but not original, one can still see remains of the original duck egg blue and black pin stripe finish.
The desk is in sound structural condition, although due to the paint , probably more suited for the shabby chic French look.
The wooden handles are replacements as are the keys.
Dimensions: 46" 1170mm wide
30 1/4" 770mm high
18 3/4" 475mm deep
knee hole 385 mm w by 580mm h
