Description

A decent quality Victorian elm Lancashire farmhouse slatback armchair, in good usable and sturdy condition.
Excellent even proportions.
Patinated to a good medium oak colour.
Traditional 5 slat back, nicely turned arm supports and curved hand /arm rests.
No breaks or repairs.
Double spindle stretchered base with good strong pole lathe turned legs. turned in 'the green' by a Victorian bodger...
A very comfortable large elm seat makes this a great fire side chair.
Both arms show some kind of cross cut marks, most likely a former owner used it in times gone by to cut his/ hers tobacco!
