Item Ref

A lovely set of French pine and oak fruit picking ladders, stripped and very clean.
Traditional tapered style, the top part of the two ladders fitting inside each other, connected by a sturdy decorative iron bar, bolted through.
The two ladder parts can be seperated if needed, used to access more difficult parts of an apple or pear tree!
The poles of the ladders are undamaged and smooth, very tactile and hardly used.
The rungs are made from oak for extra strength, showing a warm contrast to the pine poles.
A small aluminium sign is fixed to the bottom rung, the brand name 'Cognet' and a ladder showing the honesty of this piece.
Stemming from the north east of France, Cidre country.. dating around 1900.
Very sturdy and good to use, cleaned and wax polished.
A wonderful decorative prop, shop display / shop fitting, clothes rack, towel rail, focal point, the uses are many..
690mm wide at the base
2200mm high
