antique painted pine kitchen dresser base island 1870

Item Ref

A very substantial and extremely well constructed pine dresser base, dating back to the end of the 19th century, 1870 / 1880.
Continental origin, neutral yet decorative styling.
The single cutlery drawer is pulling easily, the three doors all with working locks and keys, loose shelves in each cupboard section
Arched detail to the outer doors, escutcheons original.
Standing on very squat bun feet, the deep plinth adding to the robust look.
All of this piece is immaculate, as if it has not been used much at all, a near perfect antique!
The nicely moulded thick pine top has been hand stripped and waxed, the body is painted in a neutral pale grey, Crown Historic Palladian 14 and left in a matt finish.
The depth of this piece is quite unique, relatively shallow in comparison to the length, so could be used as a server or console.
1670mm wide
980mm high
500mm deep
