A graceful and decorative antique pine settle, dating from the mid to late 19th century in excellent condition.
Typical deeply swept arm rests with turned spindle panel sides, double cabriole legs and arms, a double panelled open spindle back further decorated with a swept back rest..
Found in this style from Scandinavia to Hungary, often used in farmhouse kitchens to seat the farm workers or sleep the children.
This bench is in excellent structural condition, stands well with a good strong seat.
No damage and a sought after size. Minimal scattered historic wood worm holes, vigorously treated and obsolete.
The bench has been painted over old green paint in Regency Blue, Crown Historic Range and left in a matt finish.
