Description

A good quality Victorian chest of 4 drawers dating from about 1860.
The rounded edge design points to Manchurian origin as does the quality construction.
Quite a large chest, with unusual panelled sides, usually a sign of good heritage. Original intact fruit wood handles, turned flat pad feet, good tight yellow pine.
Worth mentionning are the back boards, very wide, proving the early age.
No structural damage or repairs, the base moulding slightly trimmed on both sides, in an obvious attempt to fit into a space too tight!
The chest is in good clean condition, having been stripped and wax polished for a new lease of life.
Dimensions:
1090mm wide
530mm deep
800mm high
