From the north of France, a 'towny' pine server or storage cabinet, often called a vaisellier, to store the crockery in dining room or kitchen around 1880 to1900.
Pleasing vertical shape, single drawer with original hardware, two cupboard doors below, finely moulded and fitted with working lock and key, a;ll original.
The cabinet is shelved inside, ample storage space available in a convenient shape.
The cupboard stands on 2 original hardwood feet, the blocks on the back intact, but a little worn, functional though.
A smattering of old wood worm holes in the back boards, rarely absent in French pine! Treated thoroughly though and obsolete.
A useful small piece of storage / utilitarian furniture, ready to serve in a new home.
