A graceful and decorative antique pine settle, dating from the mid 19th century in excellent condition.
Typical deeply swept arm rests with barred panel sides, double cabriole legs and arms, a double panelled back further decorated with a central bulls eye and swept back rest..
Found in this style from Scandinavia to Hungary, often used in farmhouse kitchens to seat the farm workers or sleep the children.
This bench is in excellent structural condition. No damage or repairs, only minimal worm holes present in the left of the seat, just visible in photo 5, treated and obsolete.
The bench has been professionally stripped and hand waxed, with a good deep patina and colour.
