antique pine and oak dining table mill table kitchen table 1850

Item Ref

This very handsome ex industrial table was rescued from a local cotton mill.
Originally nearly 14 foot long, it has been reduced to a usable size, now 8 foot long, a good 8 to 10 seater.
The square legs still have the signs of industrial use, remnants of old paint and mixed colour hues have been left for the authentic look.
A dove tailed H-stretcher adds stability and style.
The base colour is a warm buff.
The table top is oak, original to the table and has a deep dark oak patina, waxed for protection.
The planked top shows lots of character, undulations and marks, holes drilled at the edges etc, all signs of a former industrious life.
The top is fasted to the base with multiple pine brackets, but can be detached for transport and access. If need be, even the base can be dismantled, it was constructed in the 1850ies with access in mind.
No worm.
A grand table for many locations and the photos certainly don't do it justice.
8 ' 2440mm long
