A pretty example of a mid 19th century pine farmhouse settle in traditional style.
The pleasing shape is typical of that period and this style ranges from Scandinavia to southern Europe.
Construction is solid, all connecting parts are tenon jointed and pegged additionally.
Swan neck arm rests, elaborate wavey back, spindle supports and a good flat seat.
The body is solid and stands well, tapered legs front and back.
No structural damage or repairs.
Painted over the original dark scrumble in a warm cream, left in a matt finish.
A nice 'airy' settle, more elegant than most.
