Description

A very substantial and bigger than standard early pine wardrobe, originating from the northern continent, Denmark or Germany.
Dating from the equivalent of the late Georgian era, 1800 to 1820, this wardrobe was made for a well-to-do household:
- double panelled doors and sides
- hand forged internal iron hinges and catches
- original hand cut brass escutcheons and handles
- original castle size lock with key
- rounded corners and deep cornice
- very deep period colour
- oak re-inforced corners
- no damage, worm or repairs

Certainly one of the best wardrobes we've had in recent years.
The style is perfectly country yet timeless, the condition is outstanding with the mellow look of a period piece.
The armoire dismantles for transport and access and is ready to use. A new brass rail has been fitted inside.
A one-of-a-kind wardrobe in style and condition.
