Description
A very good quality French bed in Provençal style.Made around 1920 in solid oak, head and foot boards deeply panelled with finely curved fielded and carved detail.
The bed stands firmly on chunky carved escargot feet and head-, foot board and side rails display the elegant undulating shapes of French provincial style.
It has been painted in our signature colour 'Parchment' by Crown, gently distressed and left in a near matt finish.
This bed, like most French beds, will dismantle into 4 components and is easy to assemble with the original steel fittings.
The bed has original steel brackets to accept a divan or bed base.
A cream damask covered bed base can be supplied, cost £145.
Should you just require a slatted base,that can be supplied and fitted at a cost of £75.
