An elegantly turned leg antique extending table, dating from mid Victorian times.
Made by a craftsman, crisply turned chunky hardwood legs, tenon jointed and pegged.
The base is white washed which sets of the polished top beautifully.
A clean bread board ended pine top, yet with plenty of character, all original.The inside left natural pine , scrub top.
Found all over Europe in various styles, this type of table is often found in small farm cottages where it doubled as work and dining table.
This one stems from Hungary and is clean and sturdy.
One can see clearly from the photos, the double top opens and swivels to double the surface.
Added bonus is the storage space below, handy for kitchen utensils or cloths etc.
Unopened the table will seat 4 comfortably, opened 6 easily.
