Description
A very pretty and still very usable Victorian (or a little later) coal box.Made from metal, enamelled black tole finish, quality copper fittings and very sweet decorative paint work on the door.
The box is intact, no damage other than wear and tear marks. The tin liner is also in working order, as is the original coal shovel . There are small rust marks on the base which could be removed with a little polish, but the coal box has been left untouched for the time being.
The hand painted image depicts a rural garden detail, a dog rose, daisies and a butterfly.
A versatile little bin, usable as intended or happy to provide storage around the house.
