Rustic and chunky, solid and well build, decorative and useful, all attributes of this antique country table.An early rural piece of Hungarian furniture, a preparation table in a former life, now lowered to serve as a side or coffee table.
The muted blue paint is glorious with just enough wear and character which is so sought after.
Added bonus is a wonderful tactile wooden top,expert minds are not sure of the timber, possibly chestnut or larch, but whichever it is,it is the kind that makes a good looking table!
The undulating cross stretchers are nicely worn and finished with a diamond decoration in the centre.
