A useful , well built and decorative farmhouse box settle , found in a rich old-cream paint finish.
Continental origin, Gustavian style, about1860.
Particularly pretty style with very deeply swept arms , pilaster and spindle supports, triple panel front and elegantly waved back rest.
The construction is sturdy and the lidded seat offers a huge stow space.
The bench has been cleaned inside and is ready for use.
There are some repairs to the back legs and front pads, due to wear and tear, made some time ago.
A very pleasing country piece in the much sought after Swedish style.
