Description
Dating from around 1900 , found in a local mill, this massively chunky table has bags of character .
It's former use is unknown, it has an extremely worn top and seen plenty of action.
Made from thick yellow pine, the planked top is 2 3/4" (70mm) thick , fixed to the base with ancient steel bolts, round capped (see picture 3).
The base is constructed from 3" by 4" cross section pine, braced with mild steel bands.
The nuts and bolts are visible underneath the frame ( see picture 5).
A wonderful piece of industrial heritage, brought to good use as a coffee table.
